Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Legacy Tournaments platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

2. Use of Service

Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Platform. By registering an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify staff immediately via our Discord server.

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, punishments, or restrictions. Accounts found to be duplicates may be permanently removed.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

• Cheating: Using unauthorized software, exploits, macros, or any method that provides an unfair competitive advantage in tournaments or matches.
• Harassment: Targeting, bullying, threatening, or engaging in hate speech toward other users based on any personal characteristic.
• Impersonation: Pretending to be another user, staff member, or organization in a deceptive manner.
• Spam: Sending unsolicited mass messages, flooding chat channels, or posting irrelevant or repetitive content.
• Exploitation: Deliberately exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities in the Platform for personal gain or to harm others.

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform at the discretion of the staff team.

4. Tournament Rules

By participating in any tournament hosted on Legacy Tournaments, you agree to comply with the specific rules set out for that tournament, in addition to these general Terms of Service. Tournament rules will be posted in the relevant tournament details page and may also be found in our official rulebook.

Result Disputes: All match result disputes must be submitted to the staff team for review. Disputes should include any relevant evidence such as screenshots or recordings. Staff decisions on disputes are final.

Failure to show up for a scheduled match without prior notice to staff, or deliberate forfeiture for dishonest purposes, may result in disqualification and further disciplinary action.

5. Content Policy

You are responsible for any content you post on the Platform, including but not limited to profile information, chat messages, team descriptions, and any media uploads.

The following types of content are not permitted:

• Illegal content of any kind
• Graphic violence, sexual content, or disturbing imagery
• Content that promotes discrimination or hate
• Malicious links or phishing attempts

Staff reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or is deemed harmful to the community, without prior notice.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms of Service, or for any behavior deemed harmful to the community or the Platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the reason for any action taken.

You may request to have your account deleted by contacting staff through our Discord server. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, though some anonymized data may be retained for record-keeping purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Platform. We are a volunteer-run gaming community and cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for any data loss, service interruptions, or other issues that may arise from use of the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted, Legacy Tournaments and its staff team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, missed tournament participation, or any disputes between users. Our total liability to you for any cause of action shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, which in most cases will be zero, as this is a free community platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and may announce changes in our Discord server. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
