1. Information We Collect

When you register and use the Legacy Tournaments platform, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Your email address, chosen username, and hashed password.
  • Profile information: Optional bio, avatar image, and any profile details you choose to provide.
  • Discord ID: Your Discord user ID and username, collected when you link your Discord account for tournament verification or notifications.
  • Usage data: General information about how you interact with the Platform, such as tournament registrations, match results, and team memberships.
  • Connection data: Optional third-party usernames such as your Twitch username or YouTube channel URL, if you choose to link them.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account management: Creating and maintaining your account, authenticating your identity on login, and enabling account security features such as two-factor authentication.
  • Tournament administration: Registering you for tournaments, recording match results, maintaining leaderboards, and facilitating team formation.
  • Discord linking: Your Discord ID is used to connect your Platform account with our Discord server, enabling role assignments and direct notifications about matches and tournaments.
  • Communications: Sending you in-platform notifications about tournament updates, match schedules, and community announcements.
  • Platform improvement: Analyzing usage patterns in aggregate to improve the Platform experience.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

Your public profile information (username, avatar, tournament history, and team memberships) is visible to other users of the Platform as part of the community experience.

We use the Discord API solely to facilitate account linking and server integration. Data obtained through Discord is used only for the purposes described in this policy and is not shared with other parties.

4. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in to the Platform:

  • r6_session: An HTTP-only authentication cookie that stores your session token. This cookie is required for the Platform to function correctly and cannot be disabled without logging out. It expires when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics services that collect personally identifiable data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Tournament results, match history, and leaderboard data may be retained indefinitely as part of our community records, even after account deletion, in an anonymized form.

Notification and session data is periodically cleaned up and does not persist indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can view and edit most of your account information directly from the Settings page.
  • Correction: You may update your username, bio, avatar, and linked accounts at any time through the Settings page.
  • Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account by contacting staff through our Discord server. We will process deletion requests in a timely manner.

7. Third-Party Services

Discord: We integrate with Discord for account linking and community management. When you link your Discord account, we receive your Discord user ID and username via the Discord API. Discord's own privacy practices are governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.

Twitch & YouTube: If you optionally link your Twitch username or YouTube channel, those details are stored on your profile and may be visible to other users. We do not collect any data from those platforms beyond what you provide.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party services linked to or from the Platform.
